I use some social media networks to check out the cool stuff running hot and to find out what interesting things are going on. Among these are, digg, propeller, mixx, del.icio.us etc.
Today morning when i tried to access my account at propeller, it had some strange announcement going on stating about some broadcast. And later that evening, when i tried again, i had a whole new Propeller. At first i thought of it as some cool color combination and a smart design but when i tried to navigate through, i found it really troublesome.
The previous layout was very convenient and easily accessible. Everything was so in proportion and easy to find. Have a look at the previous layout.
But with the new style, first of all my uploaded picture got misplaced (i guess it is misplaced as it is no longer there). Secondly, out of my 500 friends, only 113 are appearing. The other thing which i disliked about it was the points, comments, and submitted stories which used to appear next to a persons name is also not there.
Well, i might be acting a bit wayward or i am just not adjusting to it at the moment. Lets see whether people appreciate this new layout or not. If you also dislike the newer version then please comment here and digg or prop it ( Propping no longer available read this).

I agree, the new layout does SUCK!
I totally agree that the new layout really sucks and is so cumbersome that if it remains, I will not. It used to be so easy to peruse the topics and determine if I wanted to read or not to read each. Now there are only 10 on a page and I have to go to additional pages to see if there are any things that I would like to peruse. Very awkward and space wasting layout. I hope that it is returned to something more like the previous layout and very soon.

I 100% agree with all the others that think the new layout "SUCKS". I liked the old style much better. Ths new layout looks too cartoonish! Please bring back the old style or I'm out of here!

I'm never opposed to change...when it makes sense. But, where's the user's manual for this new layout?!

The new propeller layout is definitely not an improvement. It really does "suck". On the previous layout it was so much easier to peruse and choose because there were more headlines on each page.
The look and layout are terrible and they have made it harder to navigate. I'm going to give the people at propeller a week or so to correct their mistakes. If they don't I'll have to abandon it all together.

Every thing is worse but some feature are accepted improve like AJAX or whatever it call. But application look not work right or server must be in problem. When will it going to be stable to use?

I am totally lost in new design and I stopped to consider Propeller as my social media sight, even though I've got quite strong profile, there.

Your new page layout is a very meaningful attempt from your end to discourage one whole lot of us from ever coming back to propeller. If you think I am exaggerating, just wait and find out about it. What a fiasco!

the old layout was very easy to navigate. this new one is terrible. i will no longer use propeller. when they see their advertising drop then they may go back to the old format
They would have to upgrade this substantially, just to get it to the level of "really bad"
As a longtime user of Netscape/Propeller I have to say, they have REALLY shot themselves in BOTH feet with this....
Not only do some features not work, layout's worse than it was, BUT, having sent 5 messages reporting issues/bugs problems and NOT recieved a single reply (after 24 hours) I somehow think I'll be going to another site (trustserve.net) for a start !!!!

It must be a late April fool! It would appear that the desiners never talked to the programmers and neither actually talked to the end users. Propeller will spin out of existance if they keep it like this.I will boycott Propeller until they sort this out.

The new propeller sucks. They deleted the discussion that posted all the complaints. They said it violated terms of use.
Propeller has it bass ackwards-they violated the user's terms of use. When the website becomes unusable and people complain the users will delete *them* leading to a loss in ad revenue and mass firings. (I hope)

When I clicked on "here" it said:
"Article Removed
This article has been removed from our system for violating our Terms of Use."

just watch your visitors from propeller plummet if you submit a story from your site. before the new layout a new article would get me a few hundred a day, now its around 10... the #@$%#@% layout sucks ass!!!

The new format is positively lousy. I will keep posting stories for now, but if we do not see some massive overhaul soon, I am deleting my account. I have been at this site since it was Netscape, and miss the old way. I appreciate the attempt at change, but the navigation through this mess of a website is not worth my time. Some changes at propeller but the prognosis is still dismal.
It would be REALLY interesting to know the politics behind this.
The word from the back room seeme to be that one new version was prepared by the propeller team and then they were given something COMPLETELY different back.
There have been some serious attempts at damage control BUT nothing that really addresses the cpre problems..
Universally hated is the cartoon character who "greets" people on the front page who looks something like a retro shill for a strip club in Soho [London] on the mid 50's.
looks like a REAL loss!
Propeller wasn't perfect but there were a heck of a lot of interesting people posting there and a strong community feel. I'll take some friends away into my "real" life, whatever happens but its still a crying shame!
